Empowering the youth through enriching talents by exploration of traditions.

Sabayan is a creative and cultural collective for global Filipinos, regardless of place of birth, a chance to develop a sense of pride in their identity and cultivate creative potential. By promoting programs and events as a channel to educate, express and show the world who the Filipino is, to play a role in the society, and be recognised for it.
Sabayan aims to provide a digital creative and social hub primarily to engage the Filipino youth to enliven their  heritage and culture through community-based multidisciplinary arts and cultural programming and presentation. Sabayan encourages to further explore our identities, as who we really are as a Filipino—in all art forms and our customs. This collective is vital in rewriting who the Filipino is in our society, to step out of the discrimination. That we have great talents, and we have other interests, and most of all a fascinating culture.
It is time that the Filipinos recognise who they are and the accomplishments forged by our great forefathers, knowing that we are destined for something great. Sabayan aspires that every generation of Filipinos will not overlook to their roots, like the Philippine national hero, Dr Jose Rizal said, “A person who never learns to look back to his origin will never reach his destination.”

We run multiple youth events and workshops in Adelaide and Brisbane to build a sense of community.

We also help run Filipino classes open for all cultural backgrounds.
